When you're not making the progress you want

You know that feeling you get when someone asks about a project or idea that you haven’t followed through on? Suddenly, we're hit with a sting of embarrassment and disappointment because, well, things just haven't progressed as we hoped.

It's a normal response to consider keeping our plans quiet in the future to protect ourselves from judgment or disappointment. But the most we’ll ever accomplish from keeping our goals and ambitions to ourselves is removing accountability from our lives or possibly missing out on the support we've been praying for (they can't help if you're hiding).

So, what if, instead of getting defensive or getting bogged down in shame, we choose to turn these moments into opportunities for growth?

What if the next time someone asks you about that project or goal that’s been stagnant or slipping, you choose to see it as a cue to refocus or re-evaluate your priorities and take a good, honest look at why you haven’t progressed?

You might find that the solution to getting unstuck is simpler than you thought, but you’ll never know until you dig a little deeper.

Just something to think about …
