If you've preordered your Priority Guide, congratulations! But before your planner arrives, here are a few things to do to get ready.
- Dump your goals and dreams
- Tune out the inner perfectionist
- Share bits of your journey
No, not dump like what happened with your ex, but 'dump' as in get your goals and dreams out of your head onto paper (or your notes app). Write down all the things that come to mind - even if you're not sure how or when it will happen. This can be an emotional experience for some, so if the emotions start to flow, just let them flow.
How often do we put our plans on hold or exhaust ourselves because we want things to be perfect? It's a common feeling, wanting to give our best, but somewhere along the way, we got confused and thought that our best had to be flawless. Remember, your best will just keep getting better. We need to be reminded of that. So, write it on a sticky note and place it somewhere you'll see it every day. In those moments where the inner perfectionist starts to speak, refer to your little reminder. It's not just an affirmation, it's a reality and you have all the evidence to back it up.
You know that sigh of relief you feel when you’re in a room and that one brave person speaks or asks a question that everybody’s thinking? That “Thank God, I thought it was just me” moment. We need more moments like that - especially in a world where there’s constant pressure to edit or tweak our reality. It's exhausting. Sharing bits of your journey with your trusted circle can not only be liberating, it can also encourage others and give us a greater sense of purpose. So, jot down names of family and/or friends in your trusted circle and share with them while you're on your Priority Guide journey.
By doing these three things before your Priority Guide arrives, you'll be well on your way to a more balanced and fulfilling daily routine. So, embrace your journey, let go of perfectionism, and share your experiences along the way. Your Priority Guide is just the start, and the possibilities of what the future holds are endless!
